Israel, Egypt, Syria and Jordan were the major combatants in the Six-Day War. In addition to these, other Arab countries played smaller roles in the conflict.

The international community outside of the Middle East and Arab world were also keenly interested in the conflict, with the great powers — especially the Soviet Union and United States — doing what they could to influence events in the region.
